Lossiemouth Tenants ForumTENANTS ON THE WEB
The Moray Tenants Core Group have received a grant to put the tenants forums in Moray on the web. The forms will now be able to update the web sites on a daily basis which will be able to keep the tenants up to date on what is happening that affects them as tenants. The site will carry all the current consultations from the council, the regional tenants committee and the Scottish Government. There will be a dedicated e-mail address which will allow tenants to respond to the consultations or send in questions or raise issues which affect them. Each area forum will have its own website but any tenant can access any site. To access an area forum's web site type the name of the forum followed by .co.uk, ie lossiemouthtenantsforum.co.uk. For those who do not have a computer on the web at home there is a free computer service in the library from where they can access the sites. Please make full use of these web sites.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORK
The main environmental project this year will be new fencing for the council properties at Coulardhill Terrace and security lighting for those houses that need it. What little money remains will be used to fence properties where there are only a few in the street.
Now is the time that we are considering projects for next years environmental money. If you know of a need for work to be done please let us know.

Lossiemouth Tenants ForumINSPECTION OF THE MORAY COUNCIL
In September this year the Housing Service of the Moray Council will be inspected by the Scottish government. A team of inspectors will be in Moray for approximately three weeks and you may see them either in the offices or on the estates. Tenants can if they wish speak to a member of the team. If you wish to speak to a member of the team you can contact them direct or through the council or the tenants forum. The team will be at the tenants conference where thy will explain what they are doing and how they will be doing it. They are only inspecting the housing service, what services you are getting, are they good enough, are the estates in a good condition, are the houses up to the Scottish Housing Quality Standards, are repairs carried out quickly enough, etc.

TENANTS CONFERENCE

This year the Moray Tenants Core Group will be holding their fifth annual conference.
The conference is being held in the town hall in Elgin and will run from 0930am until 2.30pm. The conference is free to tenants and lunch will be provided as well as teas and coffee.
Tenants wishing to attend are asked to book in advance so that we can make sure that there is sufficient food and drinks available. This can be done by contacting a member of the committee or by telephoning the Core Group on 01343-540524 or the Moray Council.
