Lossiemouth Housing Officer Due to the temporary situation where there is no Housing Office in Lossiemouth the Lossiemouth Housing Officer is available in the Elgin Housing Office on a Thursday afternoon to see tenants from Lossiemouth. The Lossiemouth Housing Officer will also make house calls on request.
The Moray Tenants Annual Conference 2009 Its that time of year again when tenants from different parts of the County can meet and discuss what is happening in their area with each other and with senior members of the Housing Staff. There are presentations, some to impart information and some which will raise discussion. You may have some points or issues to raise about your tenancy or about your estate or area, well this is the ideal opportunity as the people you want to talk to will be there ready to listen to you and if they cannot resolve any problems on the day they will get answer to you. The conference is free to tenants and refreshments and lunch is laid on. The conference will be held on 17 September in the Town Hall Elgin This is your day make the most of it. Refurbishment of Estates
Plans have now been submitted for the work on the old children’s play park at The Forum have also allocated £14,000 to building a children’s play park at the Members of the Forum have been in touch with the National Housing Federation with reference to gas and electricity companies overcharging those on prepayment meters. The National Housing Federation have drafted a standard letter which can be sent to both companies requesting repayment of monies which have been overcharged. The Community Council and the Moray Council are trying to decide what would be the best action to tke to ensure that we do not have a tragedy this year. Everyone should be aware that swimming near the river mouth is very dangerous because of the rip tides. Lets have a safe year
